United Way of Central New Mexico has joined with Albuquerque Community Foundation to create a joint Emergency Action Fund that will make grants to nonprofit organizations struggling with lost and non-recoverable revenue expenses due to COVID-19 so that they are better able to serve our neighbors who have been adversely affected.
The Emergency Action Fund will accept requests for short-term funding to support operations of nonprofit organizations located in the Greater Albuquerque Area on its website beginning now with an accelerated response time within ten days. All grants are unrestricted and will range from $500 -$5000. Additional funding criteria can be found here and at ABQcf.org.
We are pleased to partner with Albuquerque Community Foundation to create a funding source to address the immediate and unanticipated needs of our nonprofit partners during these incredibly stressful times,” said Rodney Prunty, President & CEO, United Way of Central New Mexico.
Please give to the Emergency Action Fund by texting EAFC19 to 41444. Donations can also be arranged by emailing or calling Melissa.Dracup@uwcnm.org, 505-350-2561.
